It's the female counterpart to another piece I have done. When I had finished the lineart I was standing before the problem of not knowing how to colour her. I didn't want to give her bis scales as I gave him and any colourscheme I could come up with was boring, so I just added some swirls to her skin, because one can never have enough swirls. ^^

Here's something kinda different. A digital painting I did for a class. It's a magpie.. um that's it really >.>; I attempted realism but then got bored, tired and gave up lol. Heavy use of references though sadly I don't know where they came from.. it was an old file I found on my comp from ages ago. Done in photoshop.

How's this for a change of pace? I loved getting to do all the different colorations and patterns! With the exception of the blue one, all are natural colorations geckos can have (granted, across several types of geckos). I especially enjoyed drawing the one with his tongue out :P

A tattoo design of an Aztec were-jaguar... the ground surface is both tiles, and also skin - hence the blood... Done for a guy who is going to get it tattooed on his bicep - I'm looking forward to seeing pics of it when he gets it done =). Done in inks and acrylic paints on 9"x12" illustration board.

Krinele the dreamspinner dancing in her bedroom, in the 1980's... Krinele's fur is normally silver all over, but as you can see, under blacklight, specific markings fluoresce... Krinele and Dreamspinners are copyright Databank. The artwork is done with micron inks, acrylic paints, and just a touch of tria markers on 9"x12" illustration board.
